Dr. Oriol Yélamos, MD obtained his medical degree in Hospital Clínic, Universitat de Barcelona (2003-2009), and later completed his residency in Dermatology in Hospital de Sant Pau, Barcelona (Spain) in 2010-2014. He performed a research fellowship in dermatopathology in Northwestern University Dermatology Department, Chicago, from 2014 to 2015. Further, he performed a research fellowship in cutaneous oncology and non-invasive skin imaging in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, from 2015 to 2017.
Dr. Yélamos is European Board Certified Dermatologist and Venereologist (UEMS-EBDV), currently working at Hospital Clínic, Barcelona (Spain) and Hospital Teknon-Quirónsalud, Barcelona (Spain) where he combines research activities with patient care. He is also undertaking his PhD in Medicine and Translational Research in University of Barcelona where he is studying the impact of in vivo reflectance confocal microscopy in guiding surgery and topical treatments in dermatology. His main focus is the diagnosis and management of skin cancers including melanoma, keratinocyte carcinomas, Paget's disease and cutaneous lymphomas.
