Extramammary Paget’s disease (EMPD) Support Group
Welcome to an overview of our support group for extramammary Paget’s disease (EMPD) cancer patients and their families. We understand that being diagnosed with EMPD can feel overwhelming, lonely and isolating. That's why we've created a private online space for you to connect with others who are going through similar EMPD situations. Started many years ago by an EMPD patient, the EMPD support group has continued to grow and now includes participants from over 45 countries.
The private EMPD support group is hosted on Facebook and is open to anyone who has been diagnosed with extramammary Paget’s disease (EMPD), as well as their loved ones, and care givers. Our aim is to provide a safe and welcoming environment where you can share your EMPD experiences, ask questions, and receive emotional support from others who truly understand what you're going through.
As a participant in our international EMPD support group, you'll have access to a range of resources including:
A private forum where you can connect with other members, share your EMPD experiences, and ask for insights and support.
Learn about educational resources, research studies, clinical trials, EMPD diagnostic tools, and treatments.
Share your thoughts and feelings in a supportive environment. Group members can offer encouragement, empathy, and in a safe space.
Associate with other EMPD patients from around the world.
The group often provides members with coping strategies and skills to manage the emotional and physical challenges associated with EMPD.
The EMPD support group is moderated by patients who have personal experience with extramammary Paget’s disease (EMPD). They are here to offer assistance, and ensure that our group remains a safe and respectful space for everyone.
If you're interested in joining our EMPD support group, please fill out our registration form below. Once you've been approved, you'll receive instructions on how to access our private Facebook group. Even if you’re not on Facebook, please let us know that you (or a family member) has been diagnosed with EMPD and we’ll make sure to include you in future EMPD research studies that the group becomes aware of.
We hope that you'll find our extramammary Paget’s disease (EMPD) support group to be a source of comfort, strength, and hope as you navigate your journey with this rare cancer. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We're here for you!
