Janice Rafferty, MD, is a colorectal surgeon at The Christ Hospital and Professor of surgery at the University of Cincinnati, college of Medicine. She brings over 20 years of experience in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of colorectal cancer, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and other digestive diseases. She is currently Chief of the Division of Colon and Rectal surgery within the University of Cincinnati, Department of Surgery, and at The Christ Hospital.
Dr. Rafferty is an active member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal surgeons (ASCRS) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS). She is a Senior Examiner for the American Board of Colon and Rectal surgery, and an ad hoc reviewer for several surgical journals. She currently chairs the Peer Review Committee in Surgical Services, and is part of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at The Christ Hospital. She formally served on the American Cancer Society Hamilton County Branch Board of Directors. She co-authors many articles, chapters and textbooks in Colon and Rectal Surgery
